Organization XIII skit for D-Con

Ok, this should be fairly secret, because we don’t want to go spoiling it for all the people at the show.

What we are going to do is essentially this, but bigger:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-m6BDCameLQ

This was the skit I created for Auchinawa, it won best performance there.

Ok, so onto the skit!

Organization members and Sora (in organization outfit with his hood up) walk on stage and pose for photo, pretending not to be a skit.

Sora needs to stand with the Organization members surrounding him, then when they are all in poses, Sora takes down his hood and poses too.

The Organization all turn to face the intruder, Sora being the last one to notice hes been caught. (Make sure there is enough room for Sora to jump to the right of the stage and for all the members to gather on the left side of the stage)

Sora realises and jumps to the right gripping his keyblade in a fighting stance. Organization XIII look amongst each other and weild their weapons in fighting stance, standing unified against Sora. (Don’t worry about not having your characters weapon, just stand in a fighting pose if you don’t have one)

The Organization members all jump at Sora with their weapons (or fists). I’ll block like this:

For the attack, everyone try to get your weapon/fist to touch the keyblade (If you are in the back/side try to reach over and if you are in the front, try to make room for the cosplayers behind you)

Sora then pushes back the Organization (obviously, this will require you all to jump back, I can’t actually push anyone back, far less the entire squad of Organization XIII). Organization stand on the left staring at Sora who stands on the right staring back.

Sora gently puts his keyblade down and motions for the hand to hand combat.

Organization XIII look amongst themselves and put down their weapons as well.

Sora and Organization members walk towards the center stage. Organization members stare coldly at Sora for a few seconds, before jumping into the rock paper scissors stance.

Then everyone does the rock paper scissors motion three times (just like in the video) and everyone chooses rock (including Sora).

Organization member 1* motions to the others to walk over to the left and get into a group huddle:

Sora stands looking confused at the Organization members and tries to listen in, only to be pushed away by Organization member 2* The organization members all shout loudly (REALLY loud, loud enough so all the audience can hear, even the ones right at the back) PAPER! then break out of the huddle.

Sora shrugs to the audience and the Organization get in place once again.

The rock paper scissors motion is repeated again with all of the Organization choosing paper and Sora choosing scissors.

Organization gets upset (stomp, fold your arms huffily, snap your fingers in frustration, be creative in showing your upsetness ^u^) while Sora does the victory jump.

Organization member 3* motions for everyone to surround Sora, while Sora bows to the audience unaware of the Organizations actions.

Organization surround Sora once again. While Sora is bowing, Organization members pick up sora under their arms and walk off stage with their new hostage. (I’ll go into detail on this part in the next segment).

Thus ending the skit!

Actors!

All the Sora parts will be done by me, what we need to decide is which Organization members want the roles of member 1, 2 and 3. I put an * next to the individual parts for this skit. If you are shy about being on stage, its ok if you don’t want to choose one of these parts, we will most likely have much more than 3 organization members.

We will rehearse this on the day before going up on stage. I also want to make sure that everyone gets a shot of being at the front of the stage, not in the back the entire time.

I also want to make it clear that it is fine for more than one person to cosplay the same character, I know Axel is very popular, so don’t worry about a 2nd or even 3rd person showing up as your character, you can still come up on stage if you want.

Lifting Sora off stage!

This is about the hardest part of the skit and its really not that hard. I currently weigh just under 7 and a half stone and I expect there to be at least 4 other skit members. Its simply a case of making sure you know where to stand and what part to lift. AND FOR GODS SAKES DON’T DROP ME (no pressure guys >w>) I know there are stairs leading up to the stage at D-Con, so make sure to put me down BEFORE reaching the stairs. Don’t worry, we will significantly rehearse this part before going on stage.

If we have three people to carry Sora off, then we are looking for the two strongest to support the chest and waist and one person to grab the feet. Depending on more members, we can have someone grab the legs and the two individual arms. Remember when you stop, to release the legs first so I can actually stand rather than just dropping me on the stage @.@

Also, we will need at least one person to stay behind and pick up the dropped weapons. So if you are unsure about lifting someone, this is the perfect role for you. Then simply hand the weapons back to everyone when you get down the stairs.

Prizes!

If we win any prizes, we will do our best to share the prizes evenly between everyone, however depending on the size of the group, this may not be entirely possible to give everyone a prize. Please please be aware of this before joining the skit, we will find some way of fairly distributing prizes, even if it comes down to rolling a dice to decide winners, no one will be shown favouritism based on friendship or acting skills or quality of cosplay or anything. I do however ask that if there is a trophy/certificate that I be allowed to take it, I love trophies, its my thing. If there is a trophy I won’t accept any other prizes, i’ll take myself out of the prize split if that happens and of course remember this is only if we actually win something, prizes are not the reason for doing this skit.

Recognition!

Where I can’t promise physical prizes, I can promise that this skit will be recorded on video and will definately be uploaded on my channel. There will also certainly be plenty of photographs around facebook and I can guarantee that this will be all over the Scottish Cosplayers official website, forum and facebook group.

Questions!

If you have any questions or see any problems that you think need changing, please let me know as soon as possible, I assume you all have me on facebook (Simon McGoldrick) so send me a personal message and remember to keep this skit a secret, please don’t link this to your friends, they will enjoy it much more if they see it first hand.

Thankyou in advance everyone, I’ll see you all at D-Con! Remember to have fun, thats the most important thing! ^u^

F-Pokemon

Heres the story, I wrote a massive report on pokemon and just as I was getting to the 12th movie, my computer crashed and I lost everything. So i’m begining again from the begining, lets get underway with Pokemon ^u^

F-Pokemon, F for Fabulous!

Unfortunately i’m not some pokemaster, i’m afraid I don’t know what level pidgey evolves or how to get a legit mew from pokemon blue and red. But I can look into what I do know about pokemon ^u^ Lets begin from the begining.

I first got into pokemon when I was given pokemon yellow and a gameboy colour for my birthday when I was quite young. Then I skipped pokemon for a number of years until pokemon colosseum on the gamecube:

After this, pokemon for me went once again untouched until the release of diamond and pearl on the ds. The nostalgia in me demanded I go out and grab myself a copy of diamond. The latest game I bought was pokemon soul silver, the remake of pokemon silver, except now in new ds graphics with a pokewalker ^u^

I’ve never played competitive pokemon, up until soul silver, my team consisted of lots of over powered legendary pokemon, however, this seems highly frowned upon. So in soul silver I got myself a little competitive team, based on setting lots of spikes, toxic spikes and stealth rocks, which basicially means whenever the opponent tags out a pokemon, the new pokemon gets hit with all sorts of damage. Then its a simple case of switching between your special wall and your normal wall pokemon (thats pokemon with big defense) and on occasion switching into your sweeper which in my case was a gengar with choice specs…

Shortly after doing all this, I questioned myself on “whats the point?” after all, the second you get 1 or 2 pokemon on level 80, there is nothing in the game that can actually cause you a problem. So the only real reason for making a competitive team, is for the joys of beating up your friends or actually entering tournaments. However, at tournaments there seems to be a silly amount of rules and checks that need to be made, all to make sure your pokemon are real and not hacked, all of which you can bypass by using a pokesav!

Whats a pokesav you ask? Its almost the ultimate form of cheating. Its simular to an action replay code, except you can choose the name of your pokemon, where it was found, who was its original trainer, whats its ID number, what level it was found, what type of pokeball its in and so on and so forth. So really, there isn’t a lot of point over all @.@

Next up, lets take a look at the still ongoing popular tv series:

We all know who the real stars of this show are >u>. I’ll be honest, I only watched the first half of the first series when it was first shown on tv, after that I felt the filler episodes were all becoming a bit too repetitive (although back then I wasn’t aware of what a “filler” episode was). Instead, the movies were far more entertaining. There has been 12 movies in total so far, all of the movies are based around legendary pokemon, they are almost extended episodes, but episodes with a much higher budget and focus on the pokemon you actually wanted to see.

In the first games, blue, red and yellow, the highlight of the game wasn’t beating the elite four and completing the game, it was just after you’ve completed the game when you get to catch this guy:

He is a mewtwo and still to this day my favourite pokemon. The 1st movie was all about mewtwo and mew, mew was the secret 151st pokemon that you could only get from special events… Or by cheating… I had a mew on my pokemon yellow.

Anyway, this first movie was probably the biggest thing, it was in the cinemas and was brought out while pokemon was in its prime, me and my friends saw it in the cinema and went to burger king afterwards, because there was little pokemon toys in the kids meals. As far as i’m aware, the other movies didn’t have such a massive following and seemed to go straight to dvd or more recently, straight to tv.

The latest movie was the third in a set of three movies, all about the legendary pokemon from diamond and pearl (dialga, palkia, darkrai, giratina and arceus) with it ending on the “God” pokemon arceus:

I thought that a God of pokemon would pretty much be the final pokemon in the entire series, seems a good place to end right? But apparently theres a new set of games, Pokemon Black and White which are in the making. We don’t know what new pokemon are in them, but we have seen screenshots of one new pokemon that stars in the unreleased movie 13.

A lot of talk seems to make people think this is the new lucario.

I’m also vaguely aware of a pokemon card game which I hear is increasing in popularity, if I ever give the card game a shot i’ll be sure to write about it.

Just one more pokemon I would like to bring to up as being one of my favourite little pokemon, is MissingNo (its supposed to be missing number). A glitch in the first few games, which screwed up your game, however, this loveable little glitch got his own fanbase and even his own website, showing how to obtain MissingNo’s from every game:

This was always the form of missingno that I knew, however, many many forms of missingno exist, some called M’ and others with names that don’t resemble english:

If you want to learn more, you can read all about missingno’s from here http://www.trsrockin.com/tales.html

That about does it for pokemon, overall Pokemon is Fabulous!

F-Dungeons & Dragons

Its that time again where something needs F’d. Today its Dungeons and Dragons.

F-Dungeons & Dragons, F for Fabulous!

In fairness, i’ve only played it once just two days ago. I was at the local internet gaming place called “esc” where me and a friend were invited to come and join in a game of D&D. I was a little hesitant at first, but going on a theory of life becomes more fun if you say yes to everything, I tagged along and met the rest of the group.

First thing was to create a character. I wanted to be an elf more than anything else, preferably an elf that didn’t have to memorise spells, the idea of making somewhat of a link type character was my initial idea. As I was asked more questions in the character creation my little character became more and more detailed. Before I knew it, I had an elf assassin who was chaotic evil, worshiping some god of shadows weilding 2 short swords and a hand crossbow, also his name is Caius (yes, thats right, caius the shadow monarch >u> another friend named his character kuraz, so it seemed appropriate. These are yugioh related things, don’t worry if you don’t understand the words Caius and Kuraz.)

Before the game began, we realised we didn’t have the book for the class “assassin” so caius swiftly turned into a rogue, which seemed infinitily easier than refering to the internet any time caius wanted to declare an attack. So now I was an evil rogue elf named caius who is 5’8 and weighs 130lbs (yes you have to choose your statistics. Also, yes 130lbs was the lightest I could make him.)

(Actual playing peice used for caius)

Ok, we didn’t have that long to begin, so i’ll give a brief description of what we were able to play through.

We were set off on a quest to look for our mentor who went to go steal some dragon treasure or something (I wasn’t paying much attention) anyway, he went missing, we as a group had to go find him. 5 seconds into the game, were ambushed by kobalds. @.@

I did the natural thing and hid in the trees using stealth and firing lots of crossbow bolts until I was satisfied enough that it was safe enough to come down from the trees, run up behind some kobalds and stab them in the back. For staying in the trees for so long talking to the other rogue who was also hiding in the trees in elven (we were the only two characters that could speak elven) the sexuality of my elf was suddenly in question, of which I replied “I’m an elf, it should be obvious that i’m homosexual.” So now i’m a gay evil rogue elf ^u^

After killing 2 waves of kobalds, we looted the items the had on them… Then… For some reason the guy leading our group wanted to skin a kobald, the dungeon master (also known as colin) said to roll a strength check for such nonsense. So Paul ended up failing on the first 7, hacking all the kobalds to pieces until he succeded on the 8th. I then declared that I wanted a necklace of kobald teeth as it would look pretty (note the staying in character >u>).

We ended up in our first village, did all the proper things, then I started screwing about once again. We went to a blacksmith and attempted to bluff the dwarf who owned the place by telling him the kobald teeth were actually dragon teeth… Sadly we rolled a bluff check which failed and the dwarf saw right through us, we did the mature thing and ran away as fast as we could leaving the rest of the group to take the fall for us. We ran into a clothes shop and tried the exact same stunt, except this time we succeded making a free 50 gold for the “dragon” teeth. Being evil me and the other rogue who was with me, spent the gold on theives tools and didn’t tell the others.

After that nonsense, we headed back to the tavern where our sorcerer had just been kicked out of the inn for trying to come onto one of the waitresses and had been told to go sleep in the barn. I decided to roll a stealth check, passed, then declared I was now invisable inside the barn. >u> I then knocked our sorcerer out cold from behind and proceeded to have my way with him (still keeping in character to being both evil, and gay.) Unfortunately he rolled a waking check, woke up midway through and declared he enjoyed it, at which point I left muttering its no fun if your enjoying it as well.

Then after a nights rest we left the village and got attacked by bigger kobalds, after slaughtering them we had to leave for fear of missing the last trains home.

Over all it was a most enjoyable experience and lots of fun to be had so long as your doing it right (and by doing it right, I mean trying to exploit every rule in the game and screwing about as much as humanly possible.) Thats my thoughts on dungeons and dragons.

In conclusion Dungeons & Dragons is deliciously Fabulous.

Go F-Yourself

I’ve been promising to do this for a while now, today’s F is going to be a little different. Today, i’m going to F-Myself.

Lets get started, my name is Simon A.McGoldrick, this is me:

After coming out of Paisley University with my degree with honours in 3d animation and multimedia (fun course, but I don’t recomend it unless u really want to wind up with a distinct lack of sanity) I stumbled into a company called Fablevision.

I started just as a regular worker, doing various tasks, going out and filming interviews, editing footage, etc etc. Until a point came where the company needed some special effects. So I stood up, said I can do that, did it in under 30 mins and they realised this was what I should be doing. From that point on, I became an animator.

I umm, yeah, I used to wear this to work… Stripes were in at the time >.< Gah, lets just continue,

As my contract wore out, I was still in the middle of working on a couple of projects, so they kept me on with a promotion to “head animator” and I got a little crew of staff.

Yeah, I upgraded to a suit. I still wore stupid outfits, but the suit came out on occasion.

And here is my happy little messy office:

Anyway, we had a good run, we did a lot of stuff, I made all of govan in 3d with the help of my assistants, i’ll just show a semi-entertaining screenshot:

That one was part of the Sparr project and I think this was taken on the premier night of Sparr:

Suit and leather trench. What? No, i’ve never heard of interview with a vampire. >.>

After that, Fablevision lost a lot of its funding, my assistants went first and for the last couple of weeks I was working by myself on the animations until I was let go on the 23rd of December.

Since then, i’ve been trying to open up my own business, a little gaming shop called Outer Heaven (yes, stolen from the metal gear series). I guess thats my business life up to this point.

I guess now is as good a time as any to point this out:

Subtle >u>

Alright, i’ve went into my gaming life before, so lets just quickly skim over it and i’ll try not to bore you with repeats ^u^

I’d say yugioh and huntik have been fairly large parts of my life, I’ve been playing Yugioh for 10 years now and i’ve met a lot of intresting people, travelled the world from it to, I represented Scotland over in Germany and Italy. Been all over the UK because of it, including Ireland and Wales, not just Scotland and England. Yeah, i’ve had some pretty cool road trips, won a lot of stuff and above all else managed to waste a lot of precious time ^u^

Lets take a quick look at some of the weird and wonderful people i’ve met over the years:

Me, Yata, Marko, Ginger Chris. Manchester Regional.

Marko, Yata, Me, Completing House of the Dead 3 over in Italy. European Championships 2007.

Irish posse. Germany, European championships 2006.

Irish Posse Mk2, Italy. European Championships 2007.

Scottish group, Kirkaldy Regional 2009

Andrew “Lammy” Lam, 2007 Nationals winner.

Ginger Chris, Taken at some point in university.

Frasier, Riku, Me. London Expo May 2008, also yugioh nationals 2008 happend in during expo.

Biggy, Duncan, Me, Yata playing some shooty game down in Manchester.

The second varient of my team, Sins of Scotland.

Front: Andy, Toni
Back: Me, Brockie, Frasier, Adam

Us fighting over a bed sheet shortly after the previous photo was taken. I really can’t remember what started that, lol.

Luke Lenard, Me. Top 8 of Fortune tour finals 2008.

Me, Mokuba, Yugi, A blue eyes white dragon at Yugioh Nationals 2008. It was stupid of them to hold nationals and expo at the same time ^u^

o.o; Thats a lot of photos of people. If your still reading, give yourself a round of applause, you have endurance ^u^

Another large aspect of my life is cosplaying, I’ll F-Cosplaying at some point, so I won’t go deeply into it, instead skim through some pics of me in various cosplays:

Expo May 2008, Wearing the obelisk blue uniform from yugioh GX

Halloween 2008, Anakin Skywalker, Star Wars 3

Expo May 2009, Juushiro Ukitake from Bleach

Also Expo May 2009, Itachi (kinda). Me and Malec bought akatsuki jackets and hats, so we decided to try them on at the end of day 2.

My most famous cosplay, Nagato from Naruto, October Expo 2009.

I wanted to put this in with the other yugioh photos, so this acts as both.
Halloween 2009, Jack Atlas from Yugioh 5ds. In order from left to right:
Mush, Ian, Duncan, Adam, Stevie, Frasier, Ben, Me, Andy, Brockie, Calum, Laura, Salmon, Sandy.

D-Con, March 2010. Ed Elric from full metal alchemist. Standing next to me is Tony cosplaying Itachi and Rory cosplay Kimbly.

Thats it in terms of cosplays, I have a few more, but none i’ve worn to any events or for halloween.

I left this next bit until the very end for a very good reason, because I don’t expect anyone to be intrested, lol. But it wouldn’t be a review of myself if I didn’t list my achievements and trophies, so hope you all enjoyed this special Fing of myself and hope you look forward to more F’s to come.

Ergo, Go F-Yourself, F for Fabulous!

Achievements:

I own 14 souls:

F-Yu-Gi-Oh! Online

Yes loyal readers, its that time once again, time to F-Something!

And today, I have decided to F the latest installment of the Yugioh online series, this one is called “Yu-Gi-Oh! Online Duel Accelerator” which is actually the third yugioh online game, which just came out yesterday.

So, onwards! F Yu-Gi-Oh online, F for Fabulous!

I’ve got loads of screenshots for you today, I merely screenshot my desktop, so you can see all the icons in the background there and depending on how good your eyesight is, even then time in the bottom right corner. Well, here is the intro screen, as you can see your given the vivid instructions to click the screen.

Here we are in game. I highlighted kaiba corp, thats where you get to duel against the computer (at least your supposed to, you’ll find out what I mean later in this blog). Your options at the moment are still quite limited, i’m sure more options will become available when the game progresses, right now you can buy packs, buy outfits, edit your deck, edit your character, duel computers and duel human opponents. Lets look at my little character, thats a nice place to start.

Here I am. Some of you might recognise this as the obelisk elite outfit and the yusei duel disk, but a majority of you will probably just think “hmm, pretty” and thats perfectly acceptable ^u^. I’ve made my character look slightly evil by giving him “dark signer eyes”.

The obelisk elite outfit is a costume I have in real life, you might also recognise the outfit in that fan art that was drawn for me:

Showing off a little more on the outfits, I decided to put on the “rare hunter” outfit. Any fans of the original series might remember malik’s evil henchmen all wearing these things, its like, the akatsuki jacket of yugioh:

I also threw on an original black duel disk to make the look more complete. Lets take a look at some of the NPCs (Non Playable Characters).

Even if your not a yugioh fan, if your into anime, your probably vaguely aware of who yugi moto is. You can duel opponents from the three different series of yugioh, from the original series we have Yugi, Joey and Kaiba:

From Yugioh GX we have Jaden, Chazz and Alexis (What the hell happend to zane?!)

And finally from Yugioh 5ds, we have Yusei, Jack and Aki (or Akiza for you english speaking people). Some of you that know me, probably know that Jack Atlas is my favourite character, so lets go have a duel against him:

Sticking straight to the anime… Jack is a complete ass and refuses to let you duel him. <.<

Lets try kaiba instead then:

Ah! There we go ^u^ Start duel. *clicks*

Disconnected?!?! Gah! Fine… *starts over from the intro screen again*

Damn right I have the guts to come back and face you! Lets Duel! *clicks*

WHAT!!! U’ve got to be kidding me!

This continued 7 more times, I really wanted to duel kaiba for this Fing, but in the end, I gave in and went into auto duel with a random human opponent.

Hi Aresius ^u^~ *waves* You’ll be my test duel for this blog.

Ok, i’m going to be honest here, from this point onwards in the blog, i’m just going to be talking about the duel between me and Aresius, if you don’t have intrest in the game, you’ll probably find the remaining text fairly disapointing. So I recomend just looking at the pretty pictures and skipping to the final paragraph, I won’t judge you for doing so ^u^

Here we go, I won the rock paper scissors and choose to go first. You can see the stats of both players at the begining. Thats me, Soulless01475 Level 20 ”The Elite Duelist” Wins 1,348/Losses 651 going up against Aresius Level 21 “Master of the sun” Wins 847/Losses 847. Nice 50% win loss ratio, i’ve never seen that before.

If your wondering why i’m on a lower level even though I have 501 more wins and 196 less losses, its because I started playing the game before the points system was introduced. So a lot of those wins didn’t get added to my points.

Also, the outfit i’m wearing, the obelisk blue elite, is the hardest outfit in the game to get, a lot of people will actually just disconnect the second they see someone wearing one, because its the sign of a really dedicated player. I would say a really good player, but there are people that have reached level 20 with only a 10% win ratio that have 800 wins and 8,000 losses. So its more dedication than skill I suppose.

Enough about the players, onto the duel:

I start things off by summoning Jain, yes, i’m playing lightsworn. (switching between the game and screenshots was difficult, so from this point I left paintshop pro open to switch between quickly.) I thought it was nice that theres animations for certain points, it doesn’t do the summoning animation every time, just once and when you summon something big.

Aresius took his turn and set a monster in defense, then ended.

I tributed jain for a celestia, destroyed his face down Nimble Momonga and attacked directly for 2300.

Aresius set another monster and a face down spell or trap. I used MST to destroy the facedown dark bribe, summoned a garoth and attacked:

Garoth destroyed the face down Asura priest and Celestia attacked for another 2300 directly, putting the opponent on 3600 lifepoints. I set a beckoning light and ended my turn.

Aresius drew for his turn, now 4000 lifepoints less than me, the game recognised he was in danger and gave his character a worried look on his face and asking for miracle top decks animation:

Here was the field (and also the first screenshot of in game action) :

He set a monster in defense mode again and ended his turn.

I drew another Garoth, summoned him in attack mode and attacked the face down monster with Celestia (two Garoth attacking direct would have been 3700 damage, enough to kill his remaining 3400 life points.)

His face down monster was another Nimble Momonga, which gave him 1000 lifepoints and summoned another Nimble in defense mode. I attacked the second Nimble with Garoth, giving him another 1000 lifepoints, then attacked him direct with the second garoth, taking him back down to 3550lps.

I set the second beckoning (I needed to, in order to play beckoning, you need more or equal light monsters in your grave to cards in your hand. I now had 2 cards in hand and 2 light monsters in my graveyard.) Aresius drew for his turn and played heavy storm:

Since both of my beckoning lights would be destroyed, I decided to activate both of them:

My hand was now Celestia and Judgment Dragon. Aresius knew at this point he had lost due to Celestia’s effect and how low his lifepoints were, but he struggled on and set a monster in defense before ending his turn.

Me being the evil elite duelist that I am, went ahead with my sadistic move, tributing a Garoth for another Celestia, destroying his face down monster with her effect and milling a 4th lightsworn in the graveyard so I could special summon Judgment Dragon:

My attacks were Garoth 1850, two celestia 2300 and Judgment Dragon 3000, which meant I could attack for 9450, your starting lifepoints are 8000, so this would have been enough to kill him at any point in the duel.

I attacked and the computer made a big animation out of me attacking for game

And a simular animation for poor Aresius losing.

And there we go, I won the duel using only 2 minutes 36 seconds, won on my turn 5 and still had 8000 lifepoints. As you can see from the win screen, yugioh online 3 still seems to think its in beta as it refuses to record wins or losses. It says neither of us have ever played a game, despite telling us earlier about or win loss ratios at the begining of the duel…

So it looks like Yugioh online 3 still has a few bugs to work out, but overall its looking really nice. I like the character interactions, how the players react in responce to life points, my character was made to look villian like and he switches from a serious stern look at the begining to an evil grin towards the end.

Overall, Yu-Gi-Oh! online 3 is making its way to becoming Fabulous!

F-Tumblr

Lets dive right in, F-Tumblr, F for Fabulous!

Those of you that have been keeping track will probably have noticed the drastic new look of F-Everything. This is because the old blog was kept on a theme called “stationary” which for some unknown reason decided to F-up and look like this:

Its not just my blog, it seems everyone who was using this blog had the same problem. So I decided it was time for a change and update the appearance a little (well, not so much decide as forced to in order to let people see the blogs…)

So what you should now see is something like this:

Its different from the original, but i’m starting to get used to the sight of it. It took me about an hour to make it as pretty looking as it is, I think the player pin on the right is a nice little touch, fills that empty gaping hole that was there before.

So even though the Stationary theme F’d up, tumblr managed to happily keep hold of everything in my dashboard saving me from losing any blogs. For that I recon tumblr deserves a little credit and should get an Fing.

Ergo F-Tumblr, F for Fabulous!

F-Tektek

A lot of you will most likely have never heard of Tektek.org, but you will have heard of Gaiaonline. Tektek is a little website that allows you to create gaiaonline characters without having to spend money, which is all cool. So lets get under way.

F-Tektek, F for Fabulous!

Gaiaonline is a forum website which allows you to do various things to try and get gold, then buy and sell items all for the purpose of making your little avatar look as nice as possible. However theres a majority of people who just use it to create little cosplay avatars, heres an example of neku from the world ends with you:

A thousand years ago, I was once part of Gaiaonline and had a very expensive account. That was until I got banned for gathering a large amount of masses of people and teaching them how to get free gold using the slot machines. If people could get free gold, people wouldn’t donate to gaiaonline to get the little free monthly gifts and therefore would lose money… Gaiaonline lost a lot of money because of me ^u^ I hear there are still people who post my “free gold instructions” on there.

The original reason for Tektek.org was so that people could create their “dream avatar” the program would tell them how much each part cost and how to obtain each item, then the person could happily run off and try and create that outfit. What really happend, was people would make their dream avatar on tektek for free, not bother with trying to get vast amounts of gold, save the picture made on tektek then get bored of the idea and ignore gaiaonline.

Also on tektek.org you can search for other peoples little creations too, so if you search for Neku you’ll probably come across the little character I showed you earlier. It’s great for making sigs, heres a sig I made for the MCM expo forum website just last night:

I think thats all I can say on tektek, I recomend tektek to everyone, but stay away from gaiaonline, imvu is infinitly better.

Visa vii, Tektek is Fabulous!

F-Dante’s Inferno

Time for another game review, lets jump right in!

F-Dante’s Inferno, F for Fabulous!

If you’ve not heard of the game, i’m sure you’ve at least heard of the poem (or book, or divine comedy… It comes in many forms.) Lets do a quick run through of the story without spoiling too much.

Dante is a holy crusader, raping and pilaging under the name of god, gets killed, refused to die and instead kills death, steals deaths weapon, then gets confused as to why his wife’s soul is taken to hell. (Shouldn’t killing death be some form of immortal sin?). So, the story is all about Dante having to run into hell in an attempt to save his beloved wife, in order to do so he has to run through the different levels of hell.

The game is really beautiful in the way it is mapped out, all of the stages of hell look fairly realistic, you could imagine this is the various punishments in the christian religion system. Its also much more complicated than just “fire and brimstone” and all of the stages of hell are a representation of the sins commited while living. The stages of hell are Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Anger, Herasy, Violence, Fraud and finally Betrayal. Certain levels have different sections, such as Violence which is divided into three, Violence towards thy neighbour (other people) Violence towards thyself (suicide) and Violence towards God (this comes in many confusing forms).

The most impressive parts of the game are the level designs and the bosses. The game itself is actually quite short, I completed it in 2 days, 5 hours of gameplay and I unlocked all the little secret thingys and maxed out the unholy powers. I’m sure in 2 run throughs of this game you could get 1000g in achievements fairly easily with the exception of possibly one or two. Three of the achievements are “50 hit combo”, “200 hit combo” and “666 hit combo” I got the 50 hit combo in the first few seconds of the game, then I got the 200 hit combo by accident while fighting the end boss. I imagine getting 666 is something that you would need to attempt to achieve, rather than it happening by accident.

This really was quite a fun little game and keeps fairly close to the original poem of Dante’s Inferno. There are some mild differences, such as the ending and the end boss (which I won’t spoil, but those of you who have completed it will know what i’m refering to). I recomend this game to anyone whos bored and looking for a quick “slaughter all the enimies” type of game.

In short, for a short game, Dante’s Inferno was Fabulous!

F-Micheal Jackson

Today folks, i’m reviewing one of my icons in life, he is my favourite performer, he has the moves, the voice, the talent and he wrote a lot of his songs, he really was all around the king of pop. And I was very upset when he passed away… So here’s to you MJ, your still in our hearts.

F-Micheal Jackson, F for Fabulous!

Micheal Jackson is an absolute icon, I honestly don’t think I could tell anyone out there any more than they already know, near enough everyone in the english speaking world is well aware of who MJ is. I’m sure were all also aware of the controversy in his life, from his colour change to the accusations and the lawsuits. Everyone already has their own opinion and from what you read on one persons blog won’t change that, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and this should be respected. So i’m going to avoid the controversy and focus on the man himself.

I’ve been a fan of MJ for decades (yes, literally plural). I first heard Micheal Jacksons songs when my dad recorded a mix tape with various songs like thriller, beat it and bad, which my dad put on for me when I went to sleep (we are talking as young as 4 years old here). I also remember my brother (10 years older than me) and sister (8 years older than me) watching Michael Jackson music videos, at the time Micheal Jackson was at the pinnacle of his career and every teenager and kid around knew all the lyrics and dance moves.

When I was 7 years old, Micheal Jackson performed in Glasgow, fairly close to where I stay. Of course a 7 year old kid would have no place in a gig, but I was taken to my grans house who lived right beside the concert and could see Micheal Jackson by standing out on the balcony of the flat. I believe I looked something like this: OuO!

Shortly after, while in the town with my granny we came across a preowned copy of Micheal Jacksons Moonwalker for the megadrive(or genesis if your from america) for £10 (yes, thats how much preowned megadrive games cost back then. If it makes u feel better, I bought mega bomberman brand new for £44.99 from woolworths…) I just wanted to try the game out, but shockingly, this became one of my most favourite childhood games.

Micheal Jackson was a little insane, this is clearly evident from anyone who has ever seen a full MJ music video and especially moonwalker. But Micheal really did try his damned best to make a change in the world, if you just take a look at some of his songs such as Earth song, Black or White, Man in the mirror, he really did care, thats what I honestly believe. Some songs were just for fun, he went through his horror phases of Thriller, Another part of me, Ghost etc and he had his “dangerous” phase too of Don’t wanna be starting something, Beat it and Bad. He also had a romantic side too, infact MJ really tried to cover as much ground as he could with his vast amount of songs. Its amazing how MJ’s fan base is still massive even today after being in the spotlight for well, almost MJ’s entire life.

The man really is amazing and if nothing else deserves respect, the controversy he had in his life will never compare to the greatness he achieved.

Everlasting, Micheal Jackson is Fabulous!

F-Solomon Kane

A little different again today, were going to take a quick look at a new movie in the cinemas.

F-Solomon Kane, F for Fabulous.

Solomon kane is almost like a fusion of Van Helsing, Dante’s Inferno and a little bit of Pirates of the Carribean. I have no problems with movies ripping off other movies, so long as its done well and keeps us entertained, which this movie had no problems doing. ^u^

The movie begins with Solomon and his crew of blood thirsty pirates raiding the treasures of some place for some unknown reason (its entertaining, just go with it). All of his crew are mass slaughtered by various demon things that you never really get to see in a very entertaining scene. Solomon alone reaches the treasure, only to be attacked by “Lucifer’s Reaper” (imagine death, but instead of the skull have a hood over nothingness and instead of a scythe, give him a flaming sword.) The reaper tells Solomon his soul belongs to the devil and he has come to collect the debt. Solomon screams he made no bargins with the devil, but the words fall on deaf ears, outmatched, Solomon escapes by diving through a window.

A year passes and we see Solomon in a sanctuary ran by monks and priests. He has given up his dark past and has become a man of peace, however the priest in charge of the sanctuary tells Solomon he can no longer stay due to a vision he had. Solomon is then cast out back into the world where demons now walk the world of men.

The story is all about Solomon trying to get redemption and save his soul from the pits of hell. Saying any more about the film would spoil it for you, and if you’ve already seen the movie then you don’t need me repeating what you already know, so either way here is a good point to stop talking story lines. ^u^

The action scenes are very actiony, the plot is fantastic, I was able to guess the ending from about half way in, but that doesn’t ruin the movie, infact its simular to guessing that in rambo that rambo is going to kill about 8000 people and probably be the only person left alive, knowing this doesn’t ruin rambo for you.

There is one scene where Solomon switches out of his piratey/priesty outfit and puts on the famous “Van Helsing” hat, of which everyone around cheers and applauds. If the people that made this movie didn’t realise they were highly ripping off the Van Helsing look (esp how simular this movie is to movies such as Van Helsing) then this was probably the worst timed applaud and congratulation of a new outfit. However, I like to give the director more credit and hope this was somewhat of a salut to Van Helsing.

Solomon Kane is one of the best movies i’ve seen in quite some time, i’m actually having trouble remembering the last movie of this type that was this good. I would heavily recomend it to everyone.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I just recently bought Dante’s Inferno on the 360 and am currently halfway through the third circle of hell, gluttony… which is actually far less disgusting that the second level of hell, lust (esp when the game is intended for straight male audience and I happen to be the other half of the male audience >.>;; )

Summarising up, Solomon Kane is Fabulous!

F-Rubicon

Today ladies and gentlemen, just a quick F’ing as i’m a little tired from all the F’ing around i’ve been doing recently ^u^

Today we F Rubicon, F for Fabulous!

Rubicon is quite possibly my favourite of canned drinks (Along side Dr Pepper Zero and recently Sprite Zero). Its a fizzy drink made from various fruit juices and is meant to be drank ice cold. Its quite unique in this aspect that it tastes delcious when cold, but absolutly unfabulous while warm… >.> I’m sure theres some scientific reason *shrugs*

It comes in various flavours, but my specific poison is guava. I’ve never tasted an actual guava before, infact, I don’t think i’ve ever seen one for sale:

I know I normally have an indepth monologue with myself, attempting to keep the viewers entertained, but, really its just a drink that tastes nice, i’m not sure what else I can say short of listing the ingredients. Instead, heres a picture of the american rubicon can, admire the alternate artwork “ooh pretty”:

Concordantly, Rubicon is deliciously Fabulous!

F-TWEWY

Today, i’m going to F quite possibly my most favourite game. F-The World Ends With You, F for Fabulous!

This is a DS game, but very unique in a lot of aspects. Its a JRPG (Japanese Role Playing Game), it was created by the same people who made kingdom hearts and the same company that developed all the final fantasy games Square Enix (Previously Square Soft, until they had a meeting and decided soft didn’t cut it in todays hard world…)

A lot of you might have seen this and not known what its from (infact, its my current avatar pic for this blog)

Its called the “player pin”. This is the first pin you get in the game and sticks with you all the way to the end. It plays a significant role in the story.

The main character is almost a combination of Sora from kingdom hearts and Cloud from FF7 in terms of looks and personality. Infact a few characters are almost clones of other games, some are harder to spot than others, however its lead to some fan base and artwork like this being created:

Lets get into what makes this game unique, the first and most obvious thing is you control two characters on two seperate screens at the same time:

The main character is always neku, hes on the bottom screen. You fight with him using his “pins” which you can see above him. The entire fighting style is completely controlled by the touch screen with neku, activating various pins or “psyches” is how he attacks. In the bottom screen hes using an ice attack which is activated by slicing upwards underneath the enimies, some pins activate by tapping enimies, pressing on the touch screen, slashing into enimies, drawing circles, tapping the pins themselves and even shouting or blowing into the microphone! There are 305 pins to choose from in the game, much like in final fantasy and kingdom hearts or any RPG for that matter there are big ULTIMA type weapons that are very very hard to unlock.

While fighting in the bottom screen however, you have to watch your partner in the top screen who you control either with the D-pad (up down left right) or if your left handed, you can use the buttons A, B, X, Y for an identical effect. The tag partner in the top screen of the above picture is Joshua, in order to attack you simple press towards the enimies on screen, you block by pressing down and you can avoid some attacks and do serious damage from mid air by pressing up. Also, your partners all have different fighting styles, which give fusion points, which allow you to do big tag finisher attacks that hurt everything in both screens. For Joshua, he has to look at the top part of his screen, which says “less than 6” which means if joshua finishes his combo on a number less than 6, he will get one star, he needs 4 stars to get the fusion attack level 1. You can unlock higher fusion finishers which are simular in a way to limit breaks:

One of the greatest tasks in this game is controlling both characters, luckly you can set the computer to take over the partner for you, however, the computer will always be slow and almost never block. This isn’t very relevant until the last few stages of the game however and by that time you will be happily desomating enimies (or noise as their called) with your eyes closed.

A very strange thing about this game, is that it has both excellent mechanics and a very very powerful story. Its rare for a game to be blessed with both of these, infact, I find it difficult to point out flaws in the game, I really did love it from start to finish. Before playing TWEWY, I would say my favourite game was FF7, but this was more due to when I played the game (a centuary ago when it first came out) and it having an amazing shock impact on how powerful the story was and how different it was to the other games at the time, such as resident evil one and crash bandicoot (I also love the resident evil series). On a completely different scale, I can still easily argue my favourite series is the Metal Gear series, however I wouldn’t say that MGS 1, 2, 3 or 4 were particuarly my favourite games, but the series combined overtakes TWEWY. Again, i’m getting side tracked!

Lets talk about some of the story, I’ll try not to spoil anything major, but I am going to have to spoil some things you learn about through the first segment of the game, otherwise I would have no story to talk about. You start as this guy, neku, say hello:

Myes, well, -ahem- I won’t lie, hes a little emo, but not on the highest planes of the spectrum with squall and cloud (who are actually two different types of emo). He is quite loveable though, much like sora. So loveable infact that i’m making a cosplay of him right now for expo this year in may!

The story begins with neku lying in the middle of a busy street in shibuya (thats in japan) which leaves neku very very confused as to why hes there and what hes doing. Suddenly creatures appear called “noise” and start killing/eatting everyone, so in a panic, neku runs away as fast as he can when he runs into his first partner, Shiki:

Shiki gives neku some pins that she can’t use, luckly neku can and you begin the tutorial stages of how to run about and fight with your partner. Shiki tells you your playing a game and you need to survive all 7 days and complete the missions which are texted to your phone within the given time limit.

This next part has some spoilers, but nothing that will effect your gameplay significantly if you haven’t played before. About half way through your week with shiki, you find out the reason your playing this game where your fighting these noise and risking your life trying to complete missions set out for you by “reapers”. (heres the spoiler, skip to the next paragraph if you want to play the game completely unaware). The reason neku woke up in the middle of a busy street all confused is because he lost his memory. Having no memory of losing his memory, he was unaware that he had actually lost his memory in the first place. The reason for losing his memory was that when he first started this game, all the players had to pay an entry fee of what meant the most to them. Now the reason Neku is playing this game, is because it turns out, he and every other person playing, is already dead. The prize for winning the game and surviving all 7 days is a second chance at life. I won’t go into any further story from there, you’ll need to play the game to find out what happens next yourself.

Now i’m going to talk about one of the most entertaining minigames i’ve ever played, its called Tin Pin Slammer!

This is a mini game where you use the pins you’ve been using as weapons of mass destruction until now, as something simular to beyblades. The object is to use your pins to knock the opponents pins off the edge of the table:

As well as using the stylus to try and knock the other pins off the table, you have attacks which can be activated using the d-pad or A, B, X, Y. These help you stun the opponents pins and makes it easier to knock them off the edge. Through these minigames you can get some really rare and powerful pins, including shiva, ifirit and bahamut!

To summarize, The World Ends With You, in a lot of ways, is the most Fabulous!

F-Yu-Gi-Oh!

Thats right, today, I F-Yu-Gi-Oh, F for fabulous!

I do intend to F-myself at some point, just so the many viewers know a little more about me, but thats not what today is about. However, I can’t tell you all about Yugioh without going into a little bit of my own life.

First, lets address the question “Whats a yugioh?” (internet meme, commonly shouted at tournaments when the head judge gives announcements and finished by asking “any questions?”). Yugioh translates to english as “King of games” and is a card game, the way I like to describe it to people that don’t understand strategy card gaming is, imagine chess, but instead of 16 peices, you have 40 cards. You then have to choose those 40 cards from over 6000 cards that have been produced since yugioh’s english release in 2001. In addition, you don’t get to see your opponents pieces (cards) until the opponent uses them, this means you can only plan out half of your strategy because you can’t account on what the opponent has, very unlike chess where I can plan 6 moves ahead.

A lot of any card game is not so much playing the game, as it is playing the player. Reading an opponents body language becomes second nature to a lot of professional card gamers. Throughout college and university, I studied 3d animation and had to spend literally hours just staring at peoples walk cycles, facial expressions, emotions and so on. From these courses I also learned a hell of a lot about psychology (I did become an animator and eventually a head animator of a company named fablevision, but thats another story for the F-myself blog). These things gave me huge advantage to reading my opponents and knowing how to stop opponents reading me. This is the theory:

If two players both have access to every card in the game, plus, both players are both running the most powerful deck and both players are at the highest level of gameplay state, then the winner of these two will be produced by 1. luck of the draw and 2. mind games. Unfortunately there are people out there who win by option 3. cheating… But I won’t go into that.

I hope thats enough of an introduction, now lets get into the game itself. Before I talk about the proper game, i’m going to talk a little about the online game, “yugioh online”.

Heres a random screenshot. It was taken because I just won my 1337th game (haw hee haw hee haw… I ish leet… >.> ) The online is very simular to the real game, except, with much less cards and about a year behind the real game in terms of card releases. For quite some time I was one of the highest ranked players in the world online and am still pretty well known even though I don’t play as often.

Infact, fan bases started to grow around me, which I would help with deck advice and helping people obtain cards and such. I also ran a team online called “Duel City Elite” Duelcity was the name of a yugioh online forum I once joined and quickly became a moderator of. Duelcity had an initial team just called “Team duelcity” however, this team was open to everyone and had a lot of really bad players representing the forum, so me being as egotistical as I am, started a secondary team named “elite” which was for the best players on the forum, to accurately represent us. Time for a random artwork by one of my many fans:

Right, I could talk about Yugioh online all night, but I think i’ve devoted enough time to this section for this blog. Lets talk about the real game, how about some pretty pictures of some trophies to keep the viewers attention?

That is called a “regional” trophy. There are many types of tournament, the easiest are local tournaments, you won’t find many high level players at these, unless theres a significantly large prize at steak.
The next up are “city qualifiers” the winners of these events qualify for the National tournament. In theory every city should have one of these, but theres a limited number of slots given to Scotland for the UK nationals.

After that, we have “Regional championships” this is a tournament for a whole region where the top 8 players will all qualify for Nationals. Of the tournaments you can enter without needing to qualify, this is arguably the biggest and most dangerous in terms of the amount of professional players who will show up to try and win/top 8. It was from winning one of these events back in 2008 I ended up with this trophy.

Next, we have National events. The only way to get into one of these events are from qualifying from winning or top 8ing one of the previous mentioned events, so only high level players will be at National events. You could potentially be a very good duelist (player) and still lose every single game. Top 8ing one of these events is very very difficult. I was the first person from Scotland to top 8 in the UK nationals, where I came 3rd. I’m also the only person in the world to top 4 both UK nationals and Pharoah tour finals in the same year and one of only a handful of people to have top 8’d all three different national events in the UK, nationals, pharoah tour finals and fortune tour finals. The only other person to top 8 UK nationals was Duncan Tang who did it a year after me, coming 4th.

If you manage to top 8 a national event and happen to live in europe, you will qualify for an event called European championships. This is filled with the top 8 players of every nation in europe, meaning only the best of the best of the best have qualified. I was the first person to represent Scotland in the first ever Euros back in 2006, since then only one other person has represented Scotland which was in 2007, the man named Duncan Tang.

Duncan Tang

The final event of Yugioh is simply called “Worlds” its a very small tournament with insane prize support. No one from Scotland has ever reached worlds, I don’t think anyone from the UK has reached worlds since European championships was invented.

Before moving on, I have to give thanks to an old yugioh player who turned to warcraft (thats another card game, I know its also a very very popular online game, but for the purposes of this, just the card game.) named Marko McKieren (I hope I spelled that right). It was from playing against this guy that I became as good as I am at the game, we put 100’s of hours of practice into the game before major events, testing every deck possible and when I came 3rd at UK nationals, he was the first to jump to my side and offer to travel to Germany with me, just so I didn’t have to travel alone. I honestly don’t think I would have competed in Germany if I had been alone and the legendary “Prince of games” really started from that first major achievement.

Also, that same year, after I had came 3rd in UK nationals, I was quickly known as the best player in Scotland. Whenever I won a match, people simply expected it and just shrugged, but whenever I lost a match, the opponent would scream and shout, gloating about it for weeks on end how they had beat the best player. This quickly became tiring and I really considered quitting the game in 2006, I figured I had already passed my peak, no one top 8’s Nationals twice, its only downhill from here and I have nothing left to achieve in the game. It was once again Marko who stepped up and told me to wait until after Pharoah tour final, for that to be my final event. Then I had to go top 4ing the event and became the only person in the world to do so, earning a new found respect, after that, I just couldn’t quit.

So, I have great thanks to give to Marko, this man right here:

Ok! Back on track, I seemed to get a little side tracked there… Umm, trophies, yes *shows another trophy in an attempt to keep the viewers attention*

Thats a big trophy ^u^ It has its own shelf in my cupboard surrounded by other various trophies.

When becoming a “pro” duelist, there tends to be a trend. First you spend vast amounts of money making your deck the shiniest and rarist it can possibly be, secondly you collect various mats. Mat collecting may sound weird, but mats are handed out as prizes for various events, some mats are insanely rare, while others are quite cheap and easy to come by.

I went the extra step and not only had my own custom mat made, but made my own custom mat with my image >.<

Very pretty, don’t’cha think?

Wonder what else I can show you… Oh! I do still have my official win/loss record from 2004 - 2009 (the original company in charge of yugioh got taken over and the old point system was forgotten.) I won’t even attempt to explain the point system, so, just look at the pretty picture and the fascinating numbers and percentages. ^u^;

Ok, this isn’t a yugioh blog, so i’m not going to go into deck discussion or strategy or such (even though I accidently wrote all about outplaying the player and not the deck >.< ) So, i’m going to wrap up by telling you all the reason I play, here it is:

Yes, as cliche as its going to sound, its the people. Honestly, if I showed up to a tournament and had to play 12 rounds against a computer that did nothing but play cards, I would leave halfway through out of boredum. The people are whats important, winning tournaments for me has never been about the prizes and playing has never been about winning.

I guess all I have to say is F-Yugioh players! F for most definately Fabulous!

Also, I know there hasn’t been many photos of me myself, but i’m sure a few of you are begining to recognise the person thats showing up in every group photo thus far, not just in this blog and also the IMVU character of myself, so one last photo of Yugioh UK nationals 2007 held inside the London MCM expo centre, the tournament where I fused card gaming and cosplaying, by using my obelisk blue elite uniform from yugioh online:

And yes, that is Ecto-1 from the ghostbusters inside the venue.

In short, Yu-Gi-Oh is quite definativly Fabulous!

F-Malec

Today, i’m going to F a real life person, F-Malec, F for Fabulous!

What is a Malec you ask? This is one:

Malec is a friend I’ve known for a long time online now, but i’ll let him tell you about that story. So far we’ve met up at 2 expos, the first he cosplayed as Aizen from Bleach (hes the one on the far right ((pay no attention to the person in the white wig cosplaying Ukitake, you’ll hear about that person later.)) see what I mean about bracketing within my own brackets?) :

And this is him at the latest expo in october of 2009, dressed as Shikamaru from Naruto:

Lets get on with the first ever real time F’ing.

F-Everything says:*Welcome to the first F-interview, surely to be the first of many

*today we have Malec, long time friend and cosplayer

*say hello to the nice people Malec

Malec says:**pokes mic* is this thing on?

*Hello, everyone

*Sit back and enjoy the ride

F-Everything says:*Alright, how about a brief introduction?

Malec says:*Well, let’s see, I’m 21 years old, Danish (read: viking) by birth but I’ve settled in the South East of England for the time being where I live with my girlfriend

*I’m an avid martial arts practitioner, did jiu-jitsu in my youth and currently doing aikido. Apart from that I’ve played guitar for about..8 years now?*I like food, much of it pasta-related

F-Everything says:*myes, 8 years sounds about right *agrees without actually knowing*

Malec says:*Good, I wasn’t entirely sure

F-Everything says:*Myes, now how about a quick ASLHW for the viewers?

Malec says:*Sure, if you elaborate on that, lol

F-Everything says:*ASLHW = Age/Sex/Location/Height/Weight

Malec says:*Ah

*Well, like I said, I’m 21 years old

*Male

*DERP

*Near London, roughly

F-Everything says:*(not far from expo)

Malec says:*5’9

*as for weight, it’s 10st

F-Everything says:*1st = 14lbs, so thats 140lbs for our overseas fans ^u^

*ok, how about a little backstory. Lets go for a quick summary of how we met, leading through to you meeting your girlfriend, moving to england and finally getting to expo where we first met *can’t help but feel he should have put spoiler tags before that*

Malec says:*Holy Hell, we did?

*I mean

*Of course

*Well, it was in June, 07 at some point - I was nearing my final high school exams. For some reason, I don’t remember exactly, I’d joined IMVU because of its evil ads with pretty 3d objects

*Something like that I guess was the reason

*Regardless

F-Everything says:*I just F’d IMVU yesterday

Malec says:*That’s convenient, I can refrain from telling about that then

F-Everything says:*^u^

Malec says:*At any rate, I bumped into you a few days after joining

*I was looking for a random person to talk to, and your avatar looked interesting

F-Everything says:*hehe, by this point I was already a multi-millionair of IMVU and had created my own group and was looking to recruit members

*The old mangekyo shu kuran. A naruto group for imvu ^u^

*I got distracted by flashbacks, please continue

Malec says:*Indeed, lol

*But yeah, I was quickly introduced to the rest of the group hereafter - the events that followed are a bit vague but I eventually ended up high in the group

F-Everything says:*Malec rose through the ranks quite quickly

*the way the group was set up was everyone was placed into a group of four (just like in the anime) one master/leader/sensai/whatever and 3 students

*I think we had 5 teams, Malec was always very helpful and easily one of the most intellegent. He was also one of the few who had the courage to question and argue with me on my decisions, from that he gained a lot of my respect

*it wasn’t long until malec was paired up in the group of four I lead, the highest team of the group, making malec one of the highest ranked members

Malec says:*Yeah it was something along those lines. But as most groups, it didn’t last forever. Luckily we did manage to keep a community with the core members, as far as I can recall. Our Bleach forum was created shortly after as well

*Which is where I first came across Emma, who became my girlfriend several months later but that’s a different story, lol

*I guess the next big thing was me moving over here

F-Everything says:*It started with a girl called hannah becoming the 2nd squad captain of the group and recruiting emma into the second squad, from there malec and emma slowly seemed to get closer and closer ^u^

Malec says:*I don’t even remember that lol

F-Everything says:*proof that it doesn’t require a great memory to get F’d, lol

Malec says:*Quite

*We briefly had the bleach forum up again a year later (it actually still sees some activity remarkably)

*Moving on

F-Everything says:*It does?! O.o

*moving on

Malec says:*I think it was you who suggested we went to the MCM Expo

F-Everything says:*Yes, I had attended the previous MCM London Expo for the Yugioh 2008 UK nationals, which were held inside expo

Malec says:*Right, that’s how it was

*Initially, I didn’t give it much thought - I mean, I knew about these cons going on all around the world and I knew what cosplaying was but I had never seen myself as going to one nor cosplaying

*Though I must admit I’m glad I did go - it’s really an experience like no other

F-Everything says:*I’ll have to F cosplaying some time ^u^

Malec says:*You should lol

*You see a minority there, and everyone is relaxed because everyone knows that everyone shares each others’ interest so there’s almost no ‘bad’/annoying people around

*I was sceptical at first but I was amazed at how openly friendly people were

F-Everything says:*it is a very good atmosphere, I heavily recomend it to any anime fans out there. Also cosplaying is not a requirement to attend these conventions.

*As a final thing before we finish up this F’ing, as the first person to be F’d on F-Everything, do you have any advice to any loyal fans out there wanting to be F’d themselves?

Malec says:*Hmm..let’s see

*Don’t F up

*And

*Go join us at the expo sometime

F-Everything says:*Excellent advice ^u^

*Shankyu very much for the interview

Malec says:*Mah pleasure

F-Everything says:*In short, Malec is Fabulous!

F-IMVU

F-IMVU, F for Fabulous!

Today, were talking about a little program i’ve been using for 4 years now, called IMVU. I’m sure it stands for something, but the real reason of the name is when its pronounced it says “I envy you” which really is almost what the game is all about.

Heres a quick screenshot of me being, well, me:

Your 3d avatar can be created however you want. Infact, if theres not an item of clothing your looking for, so long as you know how to or happen to be a super genius 3d animator like myself, you can even create and sell these items.

In the top right corner you can see the vast amount of creds i’ve accumulated through selling my little 3d items. ^u^

This time i’ve opened the outfits menu, currently I have 145 avatars in the default folder (yes, very tidy of me >.<; ) I have lots of other folders like naruto and bleach etc. This is just where I leave the uncategorised. As you can see across the bottom we have:

neku from twewy, ritsuka mk1 and mk2 from loveless (its yaoi, don’t download it unless ur into that thing!), me in new minamimoto jacket mk1 and 2, a clone of an online friend called Silascreed (this way we can confuse people by having the same avatar, thats also him making out with me on the bed), the latest version of me, an emo catboy, a reaper from twewy, a reaper neku, and a clone of a catboy named shun (same reason as with creed).

Here we’ve got the text chat open, this is what is commonly used when in chat rooms. The current room i’m in is one I own called “Gay Anime Room” (I know, i’m a genius when it comes to coming up with names…) Creed there, who i’m sure ur begining to recognise, is one of the mods of the room. I switched outfit to neku just to show what some other costumes are like. Its very common to get a lot of 3d cosplayers on here, infact, I made a lot of my creds by making outfits for orochimaru, kakuzu, deidara and etc from naruto.

The text chat gives a log of everyone whos said anything in that current room since the point you entered. This saves you missing peoples speech bubbles that appear above their head and also saves you from having to swing the camera like a wrecking crew every few seconds to see what all your friends are saying. It also allows you to walk away from your computer, get a cup of tea or go to the toilet or set your tv on fire (I don’t know what you people do when u go “brb”) or whatever, then wander back and read everything you missed.

As you’ve probably noticed, there are many different furniture items and such as well, all which come with different poses. This is how i’ve been making out on beds, sitting on pirate thrones, cuddling on couches and in general admiring my yaoi wall scrolls.

Poses are when a character moves into a set pose for a specific item, as creed is showing off by laying next to this pirate throne thing (why do pirates need a throne? There isn’t even a king of the pirates yet ((one piece reference)) sometimes I brackets within my own brackets…)

So, in closing. IMVU is like one big massive 3D MSN, where people can come and go as they like. Much like the rest of the world, you will meet people u just can’t get on with on here, as is the problem with every chat room place. But for the most part, its quite a nice place and I wouldn’t change anything about it.

Where else could your 3d self snuggle up with someone halfway across the world on a sofa seemingly im limbo with a massive wall loveless yaoi wall scroll behind you next to a pirate throne?

In short, IMVU is Fabulous!
